If you take Spanish lessons here, you will be totally immersed in the Spanish language. You will have patient teachers and you will learn at your own speed, be it fast or slow.
It has been intentional to keep our language school small so as to be able to offer a “family-style” learning experience to all the students. You may even choose the size of the classes that you would like, whether it be one-on-one private classes or group classes of a maximum of five students. The philosophy is that in order to learn, a student must feel comfortable and that he or she is in control of his or her own learning. Thus, learning at one’s own speed is critical to a positive learning experience. The teachers are warm, experienced and friendly; your satisfaction is crucial to the success of both our Spanish school and our youth program.
It is recommended that you take daily Spanish classes of four hours: two hours of grammar instruction and two hours of conversation, because the best way to learn a language is through constant practice. What you learn in the grammar classes will be reinforced through the conversation lessons.
Taking a Spanish course in Latin America is very different from learning in your own country. In Peru you will find many friendly and kind people to talk to on the streets, in the squares and in the colourful markets, where a roasted whole guinea pig can be found sitting on a delicious plate of typical Peruvian food.
The School is affiliated to an American University, so US students wishing to gain Academic Credits for their Spanish courses may do so. The requirement is 40+ hours of Spanish for which you may receive 3 credits. Students wishing to gain Academic Credits will need to register with the University and information on how to register will be in your confirmation documents, should you decide to join a course.
