Wage/Salary: You will be guaranteed the UK Minimum Wage. The rates (October 2005) are:
ADULT RATE: - for workers aged 22 and over - GBP5.05 and may rise again to GBP5.35 in October 2006.
DEVELOPMENT RATE: - for workers aged 18-21 inclusive - is GBP4.25 and may rise again to GBP4.45 in October 2006. NB: The development rate can also apply to workers aged 22 and above during their first 6 months in a new job with a new employer and who are receiving accredited training.

Summary: The minimum placement is 6 months - except during the summer when placements for 3 months may sometimes be available. The maximum placement is 12 months - except Holiday Village and Holiday Parks when the maximum is normally 6 months. You must be able to understand and hold a conversation in English. It is likely that you will need to have reached 'Elementary' standard, but your suitability will normally be assessed through a telephone interview that will be relevant to the placement you have requested. The location of the placement will depend on sector of work you have selected. You could be placed anywhere in UK or Northern Ireland. Most Holiday Centres, Holiday Parks and Holiday Villages are near the coast. You can expect to work between 35-40 hours each week, but employers reserve the right to increase/decrease weekly hours according to business needs. Live-in accommodation is provided for placements on a Holiday Village. For other placements, live-in accommodation may be offered. If live-in accommodation is not offered or provided, on request, we will assist in arranging suitable accommodation which you will pay for locally.
